This is a great way to learn – it's a stress free environment, you will be instructed by experienced cowboys and cowgirls, and you can practice your event more than once (time permitting). It's also a great refresher for those who have entered before to get warmed up, practice with the stock, and maybe learn a new technique or two!

The deadline for Rodeo School enrollment will be announced in 2023 Space is limited, so enroll early! Late entries received may be accepted, based on space availability and if approved by the facilitator. We do sell out, so register now so you aren't disappointed!
Each event is only $25.00 CDN per person. The online form uses PayPal and all major credit cards are accepted. It's a great deal – there is expert instruction, it's relaxed and unhurried, and you can try your event as many times as time permits!

ALL STUDENTS must come at 10:00 AM to check in and register. All students must read and sign the "Participation and Waiver of Liability" form.

With your newly learned rodeo skills, you as a rookie cowboy/cowgirl can still register and enter the Canadian Rockies Rodeo North Friday night! This is your chance – become a real rodeo competitor! (Keep in mind that enroling in the Rodeo School is separate from registering to compete in the Canadian Rockies Rodeo North (CRRN)

Instructors: Our instructors are very accomplished Cowboys and have competed for a number of years in Gay Rodeo both in the US and also here in Calgary.
They are: Chuck Browning, Arizona; Brian Helander, New Mexico, Scott Woodruff, Pincher Creek, and Jamie Cumberland, Calgary. They have won a massive amount of buckles between the 4 of them and Brian and Chuck have been inducted into the IGRA Hall of Fame. They have also won at the World Gay Rodeo Finals and are great resources with a lot of experience!
As a minimum, please bring the following with you to the Rodeo School:
That's all you need to get you started! CRGRA has a supply of ropes, protective vests, helmets (size permitting), and steer rigging for you to use if you so wish – or bring your own!
Optionally, you can bring a long-sleeved shirt, mouthpiece (that's personal!) and/or a hockey helmet. These are suggested for Steer Riding and Chute Dogging but not required.
