Canada Customs requires a negative Coggins test and a current Veterinary Health Certificate when bringing horses into Canada. Only original documents (no copies) will be accepted at the border. It is important to assure Canada Customs, if requested, that the horse is not intended for sale and will be returning to the U.S. upon completion of the rodeo. For all information about the requirements, please refer to either the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (www.aphis.usda.gov) and the Canada Food Inspection Agency (www.inspection.gc.ca).
If you are bringing dogs with you into Canada they will also be required to have a current Veterinary Health Certificate. Please be aware that they will not be allowed into any part of the Nutrien Western Event Centre but are welcome in the campground. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
